Rev Dr Francis Harman AO Memorial Lectures
Each year a speaker of international eminence is invited to give the Institute’s annual lecture in memory of Rev Dr Francis Harman AO, JCD.
Fr Harman laboured for over fifty years in the Archdiocese of Melbourne as a parish priest, head of the Marriage Tribunal, educationalist and member of the various authorities regulating artificial reproductive technologies. In these roles he was a great advocate of the sanctity of marriage, family and life. An enthusiast for the establishment of the Institute in Melbourne, Fr Harman died just as it was being born.
