Rev Dr Francis Harman AO Memorial Lectures
Mr Peter Coghlan
Peter is Senior Lecturer in the School of Philosophy, Australian Catholic University, and an Adjunct Lecturer in Ethics in the Institute. He completed a BA (Hons) at the University of Melbourne in 1969m and a Master of Education at Monash University in 1983. He has taken part in many conferences in Catholic education and in ethics. His recent research project, in collaboration with the Plunkett Centre, Sydney, is "Professionalism v Caring: towards a coherent ethic of nursing in Australia". He is the author of many papers and articles, including "Business Ethics and Political Philosophy" in "Interface" (Oct 2000). Peter is married and the father of seven.

In 2002 Peter assisted in JP545/645 End-of-Life Ethics in the Institute. In 2003 he may take part in JP562/662 Politics of Marriage, the Family and Life.
