Mrs Jenny Kearney OAM
Jenny is the President and Honorary Executive Director of Open Doors Counselling and Educational Services in Ringwood, Victoria, which she co-founded in 1984. She is an Adjunct Lecturer in Sex and Relationships Education and Counselling in the Institute. She has a Diploma in Teaching (Primary) from Burwood and worked as a classroom teacher from 1973 to 1975. Her publications include video and CR ROM based programs for primary and secondary schools on sexuality education, relationships, life skills, and depression and suicide prevention, and include "It's OK to Say No" (1987), and "Looking for You" (1996), relationship videos for secondary schools. She was awarded her the Order of Australia Medal in 1999 for services to youth in lifestyle education. Jenny is married to Barry and they have four children.
