Professor William E May
Bill is Professor of Moral Theology at the Washington session of the Institute and Visiting Professor of Moral Theology at the Indian and Australian campuses. He received his Doctorate in Philosophy from Marquette University in 1968 and thereafter taught moral theology at the Catholic University of America where he was a full professor. He is the author of more than a dozen books, including "An Introduction to Moral Theology" (1994), "Marriage: The Rock on Which the Family is Built" (1995), "Catholic Sexual Ethics" (1998) and "Catholic Bioethics and the Gift of Human Life" (2001). Bill and his wife Patricia have seven children and nine grandchildren. In 2002 Bill taught two courses at the Institute in Melbourne: JP542/642 Redemption of Sexuality and JP543/643 Theological Bioethics and the Family.
