Mr Joseph Santamaria QC
Joseph is an Adjunct Lecturer in and Jurisprudence in both the University of Melbourne and the Institute. He has undergraduate degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Melbourne, and post-graduate degrees in Law and Letters from the University of Oxford. Between 1977 and 1986 he lectured in Jurisprudence and Biomedical Ethics and the Law at Melbourne. In 1987 he commenced full time practice as a member of the Victorian Bar while continuing to teach in the Master of Laws program at Melbourne. He has advised and represented the Catholic Church on a range of legal matters over many years. He is co-author of "Takeovers and Reconstructions in Australia", the leading Australian text on mergers and acquisitions. In 2003 he will teach JP566/666 Bioethics and the Law in the Institute.
