Most Rev Philip Wilson
Archbishop Wilson is Archbishop of Adelaide and Lecturer in Canon Law at the Institute. Archbishop Wilson completed his Bachelor of Theology at the Catholic Institute of Sydney in 1974, prior to his ordination to the priesthood in 1975. His early appointments were in the Maitland Diocese. In 1990 and again from 1994 to 1995 he was in the United States studying Canon Law for his Doctorate. In 1995 he was appointed Prelate of Honour (Monsignor) by the Holy Father. In 1996 he was appointed Bishop of Woollongong and in 1991 Archbishop of Adelaide. He has been a member of Canon Law Societies in Australia and overseas and an active participant on Bishops' Committees, including Doctrine and Morals, Canon Law, Employment Relations and Professional Standards.
