Enrolling at JPII

15011 0031 enrol 300To enrol in a course at the Institute, an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) is required. You can find further information on the specific admission requirements for each course by visiting the relevant page in the Courses tab, and scrolling down to ‘Admission Requirements’. When you are ready to apply, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1

Download and complete one of the following forms:

Step 2

To complete the application you will need the following supporting documentation:

  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Certified copies of all past degree certificates and academic transcripts
  • Contact details for referees able to comment on your academic background, professional work etc.
  • For international students: proof of English language proficiency. A minimum overall IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 7.0 is required.

Staff at any Australian diplomatic mission can certify copies. Any documents not in English must have certified translations. 

Please note: the Institute is unable to return documents sent by students.

Step 3

Send the completed form, supporting documents and photos to:

Subject enrolment

Once you have successfully enrolled at the Institute, you need to enrol for individual subjects no later than two weeks before each subject is scheduled to commence.

Download and complete the pdf Subject Enrolment Form (143 KB)  and return to the Registrar.

Those students who wish to audit a subject can do so by downloading and completing the pdf Audit Subject Enrolment Form (102 KB)

Credit Transfer

The Institute has credit transfer arrangements with the Sydney College of Divinity and the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family, Washington. For further details, please see the Registrar.

Tuition Assurance

The Institute is a member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Australian Students Tuition Assurance Scheme (ASTAS). A Statement of Tuition Assurance can be found pdf here (321 KB)  and a copy is provided to all domestic students with the letter of offer.

Course Assurance

The Institute has in place a Deed of Course Assurance with the Sydney College of Divinity. Please see Registrar for details.


If a student withdraws on or before the census date, the subject will not appear on the student's academic record and the full tuition fee will be refunded. Census dates for each subject are shown on the  pdf Timetable (177 KB) .


Note: The Institute does not employ Education Agents in any country.
