Policy Statement on People with Disabilities
The John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family strongly supports the right of people with disabilities to be involved in higher education both as employees and students. People with disabilities who seek admission or employment with the Institute will be met with openness and encouragement.

The Institute will foster among its staff and students positive, informed and unprejudiced attitudes towards people with disabilities and will encourage and assist staff to develop skills to help meet the learning and support needs of students with disabilities. The Institute shall make provision insofar as resources may reasonably permit, for any service needed by or for students and staff with impairments or disability.

In accordance with relevant legislation, the Institute will act to provide an accessible, supportive and safe learning environment for students with disabilities and will apply the principle of reasonable adjustment in providing access to any benefit provided by the Institute to its staff and students who do not have a disability.

The John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family will encourage staff and students to comply with the provisions and intentions of the Commonwealth and State Disability Discrimination Legislation.

The staff of the Institute will respect the rights of confidentiality of staff and students who have a disability.
